IEI Intelligent Headlight Control Demo
The challenge behind this demonstration was to build a neural network based system to differentiate vehicular from environmental lighting, thus serving as the 'trigger' within an intelligent headlight system that would dim an automobile's high beams when in proximity to another car. In this sequence, we illustrate how well this system differentiates vehicular lighting from myriad Christmas lights. Note how the margin dims to black as cars pass, indicating the high beam off state. Thereafter, the system relaxes and the margin returns to white, indicating the high beam on state.

Oh, and by the way, this system was built and trained in two weeks and will fit into an embedded target of less than 200 KB! Contact kkane@imagination-engines.com for pricing information.
